Venus's Day/Year and Weather Cycles
-and season cycles
Venus's Days and Years vs Earth's
A day on earth is 24 hours but a day on venus which is one full rotation lasts about 243 earth days, the earth completes one orbit around the sun in 365 days which is one earth year. venus takes about 225 earth days to complete its orbit so a venus year is shorter than a earth year because venus spins slowly and in the opposite direction.
Venus's Weather Cycles
Venus has a thick carbon dioxide atmosphere causing a strong greenhouse effect and very high temperatures around 465°C. Its weather features thick sulfuric acid clouds and strong winds that circle the planet much faster than Venus rotates, making the atmosphere spin in about 4 Earth days. This creates a weather cycle very different from Earth’s.
Venus's Season Cycles
Venus has almost no seasons because its axis is tilted only about 3 degrees, unlike Earth’s 23.5 degrees. This means sunlight hits Venus evenly throughout its orbit. Combined with its thick atmosphere, this makes the temperature and weather fairly constant all year round with no distinct seasonal changes
All About Venus
Where is Venus? How did it come to be?
Venus is located 110.09 Million kilometers (0.72 Astronomical Units) Away from earth. It is the second planet closest from the sun. It is belived that venus originated 4.5 billion years ago from a large cloud of gas, dust and ice collpasing into a spinning disc which we now know as Venus.
Venus's Characteristics
And fun facts.
Venus consists of a rocky outer core while the inner core mainly consists of iron. then atmosphere primarily consists of Carbon Dioxide (94.5%) and Nitrogen (3.5%)
Fun Fact!
Did you know that in venus's early stages of development venus was habitable? in fact it looked almost identical to earth.
Fun things to look out for on Venus.
When your on venus you might encounter a lot of cool and intresting things during your stay, so make sure to look out for them or you might miss them! these include: Mercury, Comit Tyuchinshm-ATLAN and Asteroid 2020SB!
The Importance of the Sun and the impacts of it
The Sun is super important for Venus because it provides the heat and energy that make it the hottest planet, with its thick atmosphere trapping the warmth. The Sun’s energy drives weather and climate on both Venus and Earth, affecting temperatures and atmospheric conditions. It also powers energy production here on Earth through solar power. Plus, the Sun causes cool phenomena like solar eclipses and the Northern Lights. Without the Sun, Venus’s extreme heat and Earth’s life and energy wouldn’t exist
How We Produce Energy On Venus
Producing power on Venus is tough because of the extreme heat, pressure, and thick clouds. Solar panels don’t work well on the surface, so scientists are focusing on nuclear batteries that use heat from radioactive material and special high-temp batteries that can survive the harsh conditions. Floating platforms might use solar power higher up, but for now, nuclear power and tough batteries are the best options.
